About LCP Audio

Just a little bit about who we are and how we can help with your project.

LCP Audio Services Inc was started by Larry Palmer after various musical endeavors. He was a guitar player for several rock bands in the Detroit area and was also the sound man for many of those bands. In those days, you had to wear many hats when performing. He worked at an electronics company which gave him experience with various aspects of sound reinforcement electronics.

His later work making speaker cabinets that were sold to various music stores in the Detroit area also helped with the knowledge of speaker cabinet design and construction. He also worked with a sound company that did the Royal Oak theater concerts, moving on to freelance sound engineer at various venues including Pine Knob. After years of these various jobs, the idea of starting his own audio company came to fruition.

The first notable job LCP Audio did was the P'Jazz program at the Hotel Pontchartrain in downtown Detroit. From there the company moved on to various Detroit events, including the Michigan Tastefest, Detroit Festival of the Arts, and African World Festival.

LCP has also done many events for t.v. and radio stations, including the WJR Singalong, WDIV Fireworks program, WDIV Thanksgiving Day Parade broadcast and WXYZ Tree Lighting broadcast. The Grand Hotel on Mackinac Island is a long time client with LCP doing their yearly Labor Day Jazzfest along with other events staged at the hotel. The company has worked with a number of municipalities around the Detroit area doing a variety of festival concerts and continues to offer quality, responsible services with a safe, reliability standard.

We have been providing services consecutively for nearly 25 years to many of our clients. Our approach involves providing state-of-the-art equipment, combined with knowledge of staging and safety for both the crews and the audiences.

We look forward to providing audio services for your next event.
